Gorgeous views of the Atlantic Ocean, private access to Miami Beach, oceanfront fine dining, and a prestigious address on Collins Avenue, the Carillon Miami Wellness Resort (CMWR) is the newest “gotta go to” spa resort on our radar. We met in person with their management team recently to learn more about this newcomer. The first thing that struck us is the size. This resort and spa are huge and spacious. Nothing cramped or cave-like as is the case where so many hotels add “spa” as an afterthought and cram it into a former linen closet.
Offerings cover the spectrum from fitness and wellness to beauty. The program options include more than 200 fitness classes, wellness lectures, and a wide variety of spa treatments. Treatments and a variety of fun pampering include a Thermal Experience, therapeutic igloo, private hot and cold areas that include a crystal steam room, a Finnish sauna, experiential rains, and more.
CMWR is an interesting riff for pre- and post-cruisers. I never thought about it beforehand, but why not offer a relaxing transition back to the real world before heading home? Plus, after all the cruise indulgences, a spa day or two could be just what the doctor ordered. What better way to end the trip than sipping an all-organic cocktail by the beach?
